Alot of you may be new to the sponsoring programs or already are participating. For those of you that are new to it, here's affiliate programs in a nutshell.

There are various adult paysites on the internet that offer something called affiliate programs and are sponsors. What this generally means is, you promote their product, which is there website, and if someone signs up through you, you get paid.

There are two types this is done, through RevShare(revenue share) and PPS(pay per sign up). In the case of revshare you, you and the company you are promoting share the revenue from the signup. Which means it is a 50/50 split for as long as that person stays a member. Pros of this is that you get a paid as long as they are a member. This can build up if rather quickly if the website is good at retaining members. For example, if you average 30 unique signups a month. Thats 30 unique signups for January, February etc. However, if you retain 50% of those signups. You can add 15 members to the months tally. So in total even though you got 30 new signups in February you still have those original 15 making you money. Downside, is sometimes it can build up slow or not at all. And it's usually at most 15$ per member.

PPS is a process when you get paid a certain amount everytime someone signs up through you. This is my favorite especially with NastyDollars or BangBros because they pay 35$ per signup. If you can manage two signups per day, that's $980 in every two weeks. Not bad huh?

Sometimes to get a signup, all you may have to do is redirect your 404 traffic to the sponsor or just put a plain link on your TGP or web site!

NastyDollars: $35 per signup!
BangBros: $35 per signup!

Justice Department Revises 6 Terms in 2257 Lawsuit

Justice Department Revises 6 Terms in 2257 Lawsuit
http://www.xbiz.com/news_piece.php?id=9885

WASHINGTON - U.S. Justice Department trial attorney Samuel Kaplan sent a letter earlier this month to the attorneys representing the Free Speech Coalition in a lawsuit seeking to permanently enjoin 2257 record-keeping amendments. Kaplan’s letter “corrected” six terms in the amendments that the FSC attorneys felt had caused the greatest amount of confusion and were most inconsistent with the regulations and supporting comments.
FSC attorneys considered Justice’s retreat from those terms to be a step in the right direction; however, it is not yet known whether Kaplan’s letter will be binding as the case moves forward.

 The letter stated the following clarifications to the statutes that were first published in the Federal Register May 24:

Domestic producers who travel outside the United States to record images of actual sexually explicit conduct may rely upon foreign government issued passports.

The requirement that “a copy of the depiction” must be maintained applies only prospectively; that is, materials recorded prior to June 23, 2005, are not covered, and no copy of the performance need be maintained.

The requirement that the “date of production, manufacture, publication, duplication, reproduction, or reissuance” be identified on the label is satisfied by stating the last date of filming and characterizing that as the date of production.

Material produced before June 23, 2005, that was compliant with the old regulations may continue to be marketed without fear of prosecution under the new regulations.

The term “actual sexually explicit conduct” does not include “lascivious exhibitions of the genitals;” (i.e., mere nudity).

Websites containing no depictions of “actual sexually explicit conduct” but that provide hyperlinks to third party websites which do contain such material have no record-keeping obligations.

The case of the FSC vs. Attorney General Alberto Gonzales was last heard on Aug. 2 in Denver, Colo. A ruling from the judge on whether to grant the FSC a preliminary injunction against the amended regulations is still pending.

Paysite Problems

Paysite problems
www.freeadultzone.net/webmaster

Paysite problems - There's the first and foremost problem of genuine, exclusive adult porn content. Then follows a small list including affiliate management, chargebacks, hosting and bandwidth problems, to name a few. All these are problems not uncommon with any business, and can be surmounted. The one problem, which I fear has no 'exit strategy', is the 'rolling snowball' factor. You start a paysite and very soon it resembles a snowball rolling down the hill, getting bigger and bigger, unstoppable - and soon to crash and break up. Sounds pessimistic? I'd say realistic.
Fresh Content

The crux of the matter is how far you can or want to go with paysite content. Can you shoot content? Will it be any good? Can you find fresh, raw talented pornstars? If not, how much can you pay to keep on buying new content? This is the first and most important question you have to answer before you can start an adult porn paysite.
Snowball Factor

A freshly minted paysite has a lot of steam pushing it - new content, search engines rushing to index the pages, affiliates rushing to promote, TGP's eager to accept galleries, porn surfers eager to find out what's inside and last, but not least - the paysite owner's optimism which drives him to work hard, promote the site and spend money. The problem comes after the 'honeymoon' is over, and the paysite is just one among a million others. So, you spend more money - buy new content, introduce affiliate goodies, advertise, buy gallery spots. The older the site gets, the less interest both surfers and affiliates have, the content gets overexposed and updates less frequent. There's two ways from here - either the site goes downhill with decreasing affiliates, members and traffic or - you start spending more and more money, just trying to keep afloat.

EyeBalls

The jackpot on the internet lies in eyeballs - targeted eyeballs. The more people interested in your niche, that view your site - the more your chances of a sale. Question is, how do you get these eyeballs, and how much are you willing to pay for them? There's the question of bandwidth, paying affiliates and advertising costs, in addition to various promotional schemes such as free trials and free hosting for affiliates. The sum total of all these factors, put together with regular monthly expenses - content, utility bills,etc. can quickly climb upto and beyond your sales.
Branding

Affiliates won't remember your paysite unless surfers do. When affiliates find that surfers are searching for your content, they'll be lining up to sign up. That's why it's important not just to be a traffic sink, but to be a brand name which draws in targeted traffic - both surfers and webmasters - from search engines, link sites, articles, reviews, user groups and the boards. Result - less work, more longevity.

Two points to be noted about a successful paysite in today's world of online adult entertainment - It has to be a big hit on the search engines and it has to a big hit on GFY.

Braincash Acquires SteeleCash

MONTREAL, CANADA – Braincash has announced the acquisition of competing sponsor program SteeleCash. Through this move, Braincash becomes the exclusive sponsor for Lexington Steele and his official web site. Braincash will take over all of SteeleCash's operations including its membership sites and affiliate base.

Prior to this acquisition, both Braincash and SteeleCash were promoting Lexigton Steele content and sites, leading to some confusion as to which program offered the “official” Lexington Steele site.

“This is something I was really looking forward to,” said Braincash owner Fred Valiquette. “We wanted to eliminate any confusion webmasters had in regards to Lex’s official web site. It is now clear for everyone that Lex’s home on the web is Braincash”.

Braincash has not yet disclosed specifics about how the SteeleCash assets will be integrated, saying that “specific announcements concerning details will be published in due time,” according to a company press release. In the section that's the Justice Department's 'Response to Public Comments on the Proposed Rule', there is the following language: 'One commenter commented that it is unclear whether a producer that provides content to a secondary producer must maintain a list of its URLs. According to the commenter, keeping such a list would be impossible, given the number of URLs and the fact that many URLs are generated dynamically, making the requirement technologically impossible. Further, claimed the commenter, if a URL is required to be indexed with an identification record, one URL (the site entrance) should be sufficient. In addition, the commenter commented, URLs outside the direct control of the content provider should not be covered under the regulations, and secondary producers should be permitted to simply list the producer's 2257 statement on the home page. So why not share with my readers? I gotta let you know how well BangBros converted for me. I don't know if it's luck, but what the hell. I was usually pushing JoiRyda and AssLikeWhoa from cashlikewhoa, but their server was down (and just when i was making sales!) So i decided to push Bang Bros(don't know why i did or how i got there). What's really great abot them is you get at least 35 a signup. That's a better payout then i was getting from cashlikewhoa and i was pushing them really hard.

Bang Bros has been good to be, i'm debating on whether to try it's revshare program or not. Try it out and push it for a few weeks and see how well it does.

PECash
Also, alot of people have been wondering about how to offer a shop to their surfers where they can sell DVDs, tapes, and other products. One such program is called PECash and you should check it out. With PECash you don't need to providing your own products they supply it! It's something great to offer your customers or surfers. PECash offers different stores for different niches. For example, there is a Gay store, which sells Gay DVD's, tapes and products, as well as an Interracial/Black store, which sells Black/Interracial DVD's. This way you can cater to your traffic perfectly to maximize sales. Don't hesitate to check it out.

Crush Entertainment Wins Trademark Dispute

Crush Entertainment Wins Trademark Dispute

by Q. Victor Stevens said the company was deeply concerned by West Coast's “Azz Like Whoa” title, and said Crush was prepared to dig in for a long legal battle if necessary.

"From the start we saw this move by West Coast as a blatant and egregious infringement on our Ass Like Whoa brand and we hired a top lawyer to make sure that West Coast was stopped,” Stevens said. "We thought that their tactic threatened the very existence of our company.
It was something we could not, and would not, tolerate."

According to the terms of an out-of-court settlement, West Coast Productions must pay Crush an undisclosed amount in damages, pay all legal fees and costs incurred by Crush during, stop production of the “Azz Like Whoa” video line (only one volume had been produced under that name to date), pay for a worldwide recall of “Ass Like Whoa” DVDs and VHS products already distributed, and never again use the “Azz Like Whoa” name on any future products.

Any store owners and webmasters still selling WCP's Azz Like Whoa video should contact West Coast Productions immediately for a copy of the recall notice and instructions on how to comply with the recall.

Crush Entertainment was represented by trademark attorney Holly Pranger of the Pranger Law Group, who is the same lawyer who recently helped three-time AVN performer of the year, Lexington Steele, win the rights to his domain name in a highly-publicized cybersquatting case.

“The adult entertainment industry is built almost entirely on trademarks, performer names and copyrighted material, all of which may be protected under federal and state laws, but I am still shocked by the amount of infringement that is tolerated,” Pranger said. "This industry is no different than any other business, and if you do not enforce your intellectual property rights you risk losing them."

"This is a huge, clear-cut victory, and a very good day for the entire Crush Entertainment family,” Stevens said. "We are happy that this situation has been resolved. They are still recalling their videos, and now we can focus again on giving our fans the high-quality Ass Like
Whoa products they love and expect from us."

In addition to contributing to YNOT, Q is the Vice President of 2257-Compliance.com, a source of comprehensive record keeping solutions. Various TGPs employ different traffic trade schemes. Some TGPs would require a reciprocal link — a link to their site placed on your site — while others would not.
Others may require that their link contain their “button” or be posted on your main page.

Others make you register with their “traffic trading script.” A traffic trading script automates the process of trading traffic between web sites. The script will automatically figure out whom you owe traffic to and route the traffic appropriately. It can be programmed to go to any site you want when you have extra traffic — to another of your sites, a sponsor, a gallery, a top list, etc. So basically, the higher your productivity, the more hits your trade partners will return to you.

However, some scripts cut off a sizable percentage of your traffic to send to the programmer’s web sites. Also you will need to notify all your trade partners when you switch to a different traffic trading program to update their links, making you lose some partners in the process.

A threatening variant of traffic trades, known as CJ for “Circle Jerk,” is susceptible to massive cheating. A trader uses a so-called “hitbot” to create fake traffic from his site to another, in order to get good traffic in return.

Build Up

Once you get them to your site, you should keep your visitors click as many links as possible. This will give you more chances of sending another hit to one of your trade partners, who will then send more traffic back your way. This increases your out-clicks, thereby increasing your trade volumes.

Before you can trade effectively, you should optimize your site to the fullest. The following are some considerations:

1. Choose the Right Script

Ask or shop around for scripts. Compare and then decide what’s best for you. (See UCJ and Turbo Traffic Trader below.)

2. Design

Make sure your site is uncluttered and easy to navigate. Choose a color scheme that allows you to effectively draw attention to strategic places and links on your site.

Also, remind your visitors to bookmark your site, and give them reasons to do so. If a surfer bookmarks your site, that person will most probably click several links before leaving the site.

3. Content

Develop your own style or format. Make sure that your content is unique and isn’t overused. Whether you focus on a specific niche or you offer a variety of categorized content, be sure to capitalize on it. Trade traffic with other sites which maintains the same niche. If you plan to trade with general sites, try to get them to send you traffic from categories that either match or are compatible with your niche.

Make it a point to send your visitors to real content at least 70% of the time. The visitor more likely will click on multiple links on your site (seeing that you have real content), and will also trust the links you send him/her to.

4. Start Promoting

Making alliances and creating positive relationships can be very beneficial. You will be able to reference back to “friends” and create a whole new traffic flow for yourself and for your site.

Contact trades either personally, by email, or ICQ. Usually a webmaster will set the return percentage to a higher value than the default set for automatic sign-ups when asked for a direct trade. Ask him or her directly for some forced hits which will help get trades started.

5. Productivity from Other Sites

Trade only with quality sites that offers real content; and make sure your own site meets those same standards of quality. This way they will know that you are not trying to cheat them, blind link them constantly to poor sites or assault them with pop-ups.

While you may send visitors blindly to trades, throw in some real links, particularly static links. Evidently, the most common of these is the standard top list.

Be sure to visit CockBoard for more great articles like this written by industry experts.

Using a Free Host to Funnel TGP Traffic

Using a Free Host to Funnel TGP Traffic
Written by Alex of AdultStrategy.com

Alright, just a quick tip today! People making a lot of money off TGP's will tell you not to use a free host for several reasons. One reason is because most free hosts have huge ads on the headers and footers of their pages. This makes it a lot harder to sell something to the surfer because most TGP's have a limit on how many ads can be on a gallery page. So that means you have less banners/links on this page. In addition, there are many distractions, it's hard to get the surfer to focus on what you are trying to sell them. However, free hosts are not totally useless. One use for them is to feed traffic to your free sites. Let the free host take the hit on bandwidth. The traffic you send from your gallery page to your free site will be of better quality. From there you can more effectively funnel the traffic to where it has to go!

ok till next time...

Alex of AdultStrategy.com

The Neophyte Webmasters' Guide to TRAFFIC

The Neophyte Webmasters' Guide to TRAFFIC

brought to you by Jo Hawke of
AEBN.com

Traffic: 1. [noun] Social or verbal interchange (usually followed by `with')
2. [n] Buying and selling; especially illicit trade 3. [n] Pedestrians or
vehicles or messages coming and going in a particular locality - such as a
website. 4. [n] the people who visit your website site. 5. [n] 'Net Surfers.

TGP / MGP

Free Content - Run Amuck?

Thumbnail Gallery Post (TGP) and Movie Gallery Post (MGP) are the traffic
kings. They were invented just shortly after the invention of 'dirt' and have
been maturing nicely ever since.

The days of the picture-post are gone for the most part. The free sites are
still around, but they take a fairly substantial amount of time to build. AVS
sites (Age Verification or adult age check systems,) are also going the way of
the dinosaur. Once the dust settles, what's left are the TGP's and MGP's.
They're fast and easy to build and have a theme that surfers understand - FREE.

What is a TGP/MGP?

TGP and MGP are very similar and are becoming in some circles rather
interchangeable. TGP's came first with a simple idea of a link site that points
directly to a page full of thumbnails. Think of it as a traditional link site
that instead of pointing to the warning page of a free site - it skips straight
to the content. No full page ad to say 'no thanks' to, no clever text links that
confuse the surfer into, skipping right past the free site gallery - just dead
on into the naked people page.

MGP's are a broadband hybrid of TGP's they have the same layout as their
older brothers but their content is primarily movies. Most TGP's and MGP's are
(depending on your perspective) TGP's with movies or MGP's with thumbs.

The idea is to give the surfer all they want for nothing and with surfers
being the sex starved creeps they are they always seem to be wanting more.

What is TGP/MGP traffic like:

What is TGP/MGP traffic like, you ask? Hmm… Think: United States Depression
era line for government cheese. Kid in a candy store… Crack whore left guarding
the stash… You get the idea. Surfers bombard TGP/MGP sites in a feeding frenzy
and gobble up every new gallery posted. They smack your servers around like a
rag doll wanting all the free porn they can possible inhale.

Intelligent surfers don't ever, Ever -- NEED to pay to get their fix. They
know how to find the good stuff for free. Day in and day out these cheap
bastards scour the sites looking for pictures that remind them of their high
school sweetheart or that nasty old guidance counselor that use to smack them
with a ruler 'till they liked it. Whatever their taste, they will find a belly
full of free content on these sites. These smart surfers are automatically
chunked in the crap-traffic pile because they are the enemy of the member sites.

Free Content makes Money:

As a general rule… (Here comes the killer part that lots of porn webmasters
have figured out over the years…) Teasing the newbie surfers with a little
content and the promise of a lot more has always worked. Originally the idea of
giving them a ton of content then expecting them to buy anything seemed a bit
crazy.

In the beginning only limited tests could be done by any one person or
company to see if this crap-traffic was actually worth the time to get.
Webmasters that have been around for a few years will probably remember the
first time they submitted a gallery to the likes of TheHun.net and paid for the
bandwidth.

Odds are pretty good that if you did a short test back then, you would have
lost money instead of made money. However, running the same test for a month you
was an utterly different story. Most people didn't care much for the idea of
taking it on the chin for weeks at a time not knowing if they would ever make
the money back.

The shocking reality to some is that TGP/MGP make a freaking killing! Sure
the bandwidth numbers are high but these are not the days of paying $9.00 per
gig. Bandwidth is cheap these days so "stupid bandwidth volume" does Not equal
"stupid bandwidth bill".

In the past the guys running the sites would make a nice chunk of change and
avoid the bandwidth headaches because they didn't serve up the graphics. The
gallery listings where spread out across the hundreds of people who submitted
galleries and everyone would have good days and bad days depending on the taste
of the surfers and the content they ran with. Today companies host their own
pre-built galleries attempting to get ALL the traffic or at least a lion's share
of the traffic from these sources - because at the end of the day it makes
money.

Who should use a TGP/MGP:

If you're a porn Webmaster these days then you need to be using TGP/MGP sites
to make money. Run your own or just submit galleries but you got'ta get into the
mix or you are missing the Money Train.

It has never been easier to get involved in the porn industry with hosted
galleries being built by sponsors such as AEBN.com every day. If you can fill
out a submit form, then you can be a porn Webmaster. Good or bad this is what
the industry has become for a great many webmasters. Yes credit card processing
is putting the "Fear of God" into a lot of companies, but when it is all said
and done, there will always be someone you can send your traffic to.

When not to use TGP/MGP:

Use to be, you could shy away from the free content realm of TGP and MGP.
Those days are gone. If your not using these sites - you're Mad! Everyone needs
to use this source of traffic.

Strike it rich:

You don't really need to know how to build a website to make money in porn.
Forget about clever ways of getting surfers to click on a link. Use hosted
galleries and bang away on every submit form you can find. You'll never have a
bandwidth bill that makes you cry in a corner.

Congratulations you can pay that damn student loan off now!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
By Jo Hawke - AEBN publicity@aebn.net
- AEBN.com, -
http://www.aebn.com - Adult Entertainment Broadcasting Network, is the
original Pay-Per-View provider on the Internet. As I sit here waiting for my new monitor, this one is about to go out, I realize that Im hit up almost daily for a new trade. And my question is why should I trade with you?
First almost every new tgp that comes out is a thumbnail site. And we all know that thumbnail TGP's are not at the top of the pile when it comes to productive traffic, unless of course your trading with another thumbnail site. Untop of that its a waste of bandwidth and resources just to run one of these bad boys. Another thing about thumbnail sites they do not get alot of sales vs. say a text TGP. Alot of newbies jump on the thumbnail wagon chasing traffic :D. Alas whats the use of getting alot of traffic and u cant pay your monthly expenses please advise? Dont get me wrong no one can fight change and U would be a fool not to have atleast one thumbnial TGP to trade with. But in order to make real money I suggest a text TGP hands down!
Second who are you? I mean I've been online for 8 or 9 years and u pop up out the blue asking me for a trade!! Are you crazy? U could be some bot from out of space for all I know. Or you could have some nasty viruses waiting to unleash on my ""helpless poor surfers"" :D Seriously though I dont know you from Adam. Has the business regressed so far that its all about automation and the human element needs not exist? Come on people I'm from the oldskool and keeping in touch with your trades has way more advantages then just signing up. Think about it...if you hit up your trades daily U could get the inside scoop about some hot tips that havent been exploited to the fullest, some hot sponsers, or even met some new people because your so fucking cool :D. Better yet U could increase your BOTTOM Line...Ok ok I wont rant too much but when you do decide to hit somebody up how about introducing yourself and giving some background. Also it helps that you have a toplist so your potential trade can see who your trading with.
Third hmmm connects connects connects! It helps to know as many people as possible. In other words always save face no matter what. Unless that certain individual is a waste of breathing space then simply ignore em. I mean I've burnt some bridges in my time just to watch these same individuals have some of the biggest sites on the internet or have some kick ass sponser program raking in millions boohoo right! HAHA just a lesson learned dont burn your bridges that could be the owner of the next MaxCash or ARS. Damn its hot in here...
Ahhh lets talk about quality. I've noticed alot of these sites shave there galleries. Nothing wrong with that but eventually you should probably shoot for quality right? I mean I'm here to make money and believe me I will have a problem sending you my traffic and your site is full of redirects and overall very little value as far as content. Come on people I dont love the surfer but damn I do wanna get there attention so perhaps they trust me and buy a damn membership. Just a rant for today and by no means are my writing skills up to par enjoy it and make that money!
Everything in this article has been said before but hey seems like alot of newbies forget or dont read or better yet dont care :D Honestly this is just a little reminder that when u approach the veteran webmaster come prepared its like finding a date u better be on your fucking A game player enjoy :D
Interview with The Shemp from netpond
> GTP Dave @ Netpond
>
> Interview with "The Shemp" or Shemp as we know him!
>
> Hi Shemp, can you please tell the Netponders something about yourself...
> age, where you grew up,what interests you most besides online work and
> what sort of education do you have.
Im 55 this year...I grew up in Vancouver, BC although i have lived in about 20 other cities throughout North America.
My real career was as an industrial engineer, the online adult business is my retirement income..As for other interests, i really dont do much anymore since getting diagnosed with Leukemia in 2000. Prior to that i coached kids soccer and played in the OldMans soccer league, plus i built custom cars and drag raced...
> Shemp, we see that you are copyright since 1998 [ Over 800,000,000
> visitors since Nov 24, 1998], but when did you enter the adult business,
> at what level, and what were your biggest obstacles then?
Yes, i started Shemp in 1998, but i had other sites before that (1997). I tried a link list for a while, but it sucked. I was heavily into AVS sites (still am) so i built a TGP site, Shemp.com to drive traffic to them... The site took off really fast, as did most good TGPs in those days. I think the biggest obstacle then was the price of bandwidth, $8.00 a gig or more, plus it was to brand our site and get it well known as an adult site.. Yes, there werent a lot of TGPs then, but look at my competition..theHun, PK, Tommy, Snake, HardcoreJunky, AdultBuffet, Greenguy, Dr. Bizzaro, Marks, JJJ, Al4A etc....i had to find a way to get to their level to survive...i used to update twice a day, at noon and at midnite, just to try to get a few more bookmarkers each day..
> What tricks or ploys annoys you the most that webmasters try to pull?
I think the dishonesty and lack of business ethics has always bothered me and that is true of the whole internet, not just the adult internet.. From a TGP owners point of view though, ive seen just about every trick in the book. Thats why i started the private submit concept in late 1998....partner or private submit accounts are nothing new with me.. Todays scripts solve a lot of the cheating tricks and a good TGP can be very selective now in accepting submitters...so overall, cheating doesnt effect me like it did a few years ago..
The biggest crime now is oversubmitting, people try to sneak in a few extra galleries or sign up for a couple of accounts..
> Netponds policy is Good Business, Not greedy Business...what`s your policy
> at The Shemp?
My reputation speaks for itself. I pay my bills on time..we treat people with respect, we answer emails.
I like to contribute where possible to our webmaster community although my continued health problems make that very difficult sometimes..
> What are your thoughts on US 2257 and how has it affected your business
> and work?
As i have a text TGP, i dont show the thumbs from the submitted galleries, so 2257 didnt effect Shemp.com too much.
My AVS sites were already compliant. I also live in Canada, so we have privacy laws here about giving out personal info..
> What you are doing now as far as new projects, and where do you want to be
> in 5 years?
As i mentioned earlier, at my age this is my retirement job..i'll be doing this till i get called up...and i don't mean by the army..
Im already where i want to be as far as income, the question is how to keep it that way...The adult internet today is very different than it was a few years ago. Margins are lower, there is more competition, credit cards are harder to get approved....there is an uneasy feeling now that i didnt see a few years ago...you combine that with the barrage from the US govt and it has the potential to be your worst nightmare.
Astute managers (and hopefully webmasters) know that when you cant make more revenue, you can cut expenses instead..this is a form of optimization or rationalization..the question becomes "how can we do the same or better job, but with less resources"
So my advice is to negotiate better deals with your hosts, your suppliers, your advertisers, your sponsors...if you have staff, you should be planning and monitoring their progress, because if you dont, you arent getting 100%. Finally, you have to set up some daily reporting mechanisms, to chart the progress...because you dont want to make decisions based on guessing...
> If you were to give advice to someone who wanted to do the same, what
> would you say?
I usually tell people that if you didnt start a TGP in 1998, then its too late now..of course thats a joke and there are lots of success stories, like Thumbzilla, SleazyDream, MadThumbs etc... unfortunately the alleys are littered with hundreds of webmasters that tried to be the next Hun and failed miserably....TGP is an alluring beast, it looks so easy, "hey, its just a page with links to other sites, how hard can that be"....
I think most people can make as good or a better hamburger than McDonalds, but how many of those people could start a restaurant and match McDonalds success? start from those over 100% productivity and cut off at 80% productive , search out the sites in the master list and buy 1k of traffic directly from them,set max hourly at a rate your comfortable with
let the text mix traffic order die off, now keep monitoring the individual sites you have bought traffic from, does the productive level stay the same or does it drop drastically, if the productivity of ANY chosen site gets worse and dosent improve then Immediatly cancel,reverse the order and stop buying from them the productivity of any bought traffic should be constant,if its good at first then suddenly drops to shit,blacklist it.
summary of step2
1.get 1-2k traffic from general catergory
2.see which sites send the most productive traffic
3.start buying from this individual sites
4.monitor this sites in case their traffic suddenly drops to low productivity
5.reverse order and stop buying from any such site
6.repeat step 1 from time to time
7.step 2 is meant to find out which sites are GOOD FOR YOU from the hundreds of sites out there
step3. i want to find more sites
in step 2 you cant find sites that already sell most of their traffic to buyers which is what im going to teach now
scrolling to the bottom of the list,you might wonder why are there so many sites selling only 1 or 2 surfers..........wrong ! SOME of this sites only have 1 or 2 surfers left to sell! go thru the listings and visit the sites starting from the bottom to top and pay special attention to those with high ratings and low avaliable surfers,u can play it safe and put in 1k orders with 10-50 max per hour in case your choice turns out to be lousy(did u bother to visit the site 1st?)
now wait for others to stop buying..
if the traffic starts but turns out to be lousy,stop and reverse your order
conclusion
Buying freesite traffic from choker can be a dangerous minefield for the newbies out there,especially for those newbies who buy in big amounts!
also use the reverse order and the hourly max to your benefit.as stated in step3,when buying from individual sites for the 1st time,put a small hourly max(10-20) and monitor the traffic coming from them.after a hour or afew hours(just in case you got a bad batch) check on the productivity and if its not good then immediatly reverse the whole order and move on, theres about 100+ sites for you to chose from!
also chokers is the ONLY place that gives you the power to immediatly Reverse any unproductive traffic order.if you keep reversing the unproductive sites and list down the productive ones sooner or later you end up with a healthy list of sites that can supply or trade with you productive traffic whenever you need it
Breaking News: FTC Goes After TopBucks, 6 Others
FTC Files Spam Related Charges Against TopBucks and Six Others
by Connor Young
Washington, D.C. - The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) announced Wednesday that it has charged seven adult affiliate program companies with violation of the CAN-SPAM Act by failing to prevent their affiliates from sending explicit email advertisements that did not contain the necessary labels required by the Act.
Two of the companies contacted by the FTC have stressed that the emails in question were not sent by them, but rather by independent webmasters who signed up for their affiliate programs. Furthermore, the companies claim that the FTC understands this, but nonetheless has chosen to hold the companies themselves liable for the actions of their affiliates. According to an FTC statement, the CAN-SPAM Act holds the affiliate companies liable for the mailings, even though they were not sent by the companies themselves.
“While the defendants did not send e-mail directly to consumers, they operated ‘affiliate marketing’ programs in which they paid others to send spam on their behalf,” read a statement on the FTC website. “Under the CAN-SPAM Act, the defendants are liable for the illegal spam sent by their affiliates because the defendants ‘initiated’ the e-mail by paying others to send it on their behalf.”
Four of the companies targeted have reached settlements with the FTC, while three others have not. The Department of Justice (DOJ) has filed U.S. District Court suits against the three companies that have not reached settlements, and the suits will seek “civil penalties and a permanent bar on the illegal marketing.” For the other four companies, settlements totaling $1.159 million have been reached already.
Click for more
major back-pedaling in its attempts to defend the new 2257 regulations.
link here
WASHINGTON - In a letter response to Free Speech Coalition (FSC) attorneys H. So why not share with my readers? I gotta let you know how well BangBros converted for me. I don't know if it's luck, but what the hell. I was usually pushing JoiRyda and AssLikeWhoa from cashlikewhoa, but their server was down (and just when i was making sales!) So i decided to push Bang Bros(don't know why i did or how i got there). What's really great abot them is you get at least 35 a signup. That's a better payout then i was getting from cashlikewhoa and i was pushing them really hard.
Here's the kicker.
I got a signup within 8 clicks.
Like i said it could be luck, but i never got signup's within the first 8 clicks. I think this a sign of good things to come.
If you don't have BangBro already, i say get an account there and push them a little bit and see what happens.
If you can push alot of traffic to them. Sunny Dollars is an EU company and by June 23, 2005, all of our sites, hosted galleries and payment processing will be 100% on EU solutions. What does this mean to our affiliates? This means that you have another option. !!! You can use all of our hardcore, hosted galleries with no fear of 2257 compliance !!!
As far as Sunny Dollars is concerned, nothing needs to be deleted, removed or changed. We will however, not be providing ID’s or records for our pictures and banners. We feel that is the responsibility of each individual webmaster to choose if they want to promote our sites using hardcore or softcore stuff.
We will also be offering 2257 compliant (not sexually explicit) Banners and Full and Half Page Ads to those that want or need to use them. We have them ordered and they will be in place by the end of June.
As always, if there is anything we can do to help make this transition easier for you, please do not hesitate to contact us!
APC 2257 notice
APC 2257 notice
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
After countless meeting with our legal counsel and based on our beliefs Adult Players Club will not be providing ID's or documentation to our webmasters. We feel that models are the key to our business and to this industry and should not be treated any different than you or I. We feel that this law is a terrible violation of their privacy and we are not willing to put them at risk and we are willing to take a stand to prevent it.
Banners and Ads - We request that you cease to use any banners that depict hardcore acts (as defined by 2257). We have been working hard to provide all softcore banners for webmasters to promote. All hardcore banners will be taken out of the admin. There will be new banners added on a daily basis as they are completed.
Free Hosted Galleries - Feel free to use all the hosted galleries that you want. We did have to remove a few of the galleries but after today all galleries that are in the admin are free to use and highly suggested. There will also be tons of new galleries added for our webmasters to use.
New Free Host - We will be providing a free host for all our webmasters to use. To learn more about the free host check out freehostapc.com tommorrow June 23.
Free Content - The free content section will still be open for use but only for galleries that you are going to put on our free host.
Current webmasters that we provide free hosting - If you would like to you can transfer us ownership of your domain and keep going along business as usual. Also for webmasters that use domains strictly for Adult Players Club and want to transfer us owndership of their domain so that they can continue business as normal, we are open for that. We will provide a contract so that you can ask for your domain back at any time.
Site closing - Unfortunately due to circumstances beyond our control we will have to shut down Asian Sex Trip. We have worked till the final hour to prevent this but have been left without a choice. All traffic being sent to this site will be redirected to All Access Reality. Our four movie sites (non exclusive DVDs) will also be shutting down. These sites will also redirect to All Access Reality.
For foreign webmasters we will not be providing ID's but if you feel that you are exempt from 2257 feel free to continue business as usual. I am not here to provide legal advice so this is totally up to your judgement.
We appreciate your continued success with the program and have many exciting things in the works including CYOR, new sites etc... Alberto Gonzales, under which the U.S. Department of Justice agrees that the regulations relating to the federal record-keeping and labeling law, 18 U.S.C. §2257, will not be enforced against plaintiffs and all FSC members until September 7, 2005.
The U.S. District Court in Denver will hold a preliminary injunction hearing on August 8, 2005, after which the judge will determine whether to issue a further injunction.
Specifically, the DOJ will not conduct any inspections or pursue any claims with regard to the plaintiffs and their members, but reserves the right to inspect and prosecute anyone who is not a plaintiff or FSC member.
According to the stipulation, agreed to and issued as an order of the Court today, the DOJ, will submit any entity it intends to inspect to a Special Master who will then check the entity’s name against a sealed and confidential FSC membership list. The Special Master will be appointed by the Court, with the consent of the parties, and will be under a specific obligation to maintain the confidentiality of the FSC membership list.
A master list of members will be submitted to the Special Master on Wednesday June 29, 2005, and will include all FSC members as of 2:00 p.m. PST, Saturday June 25, 2005.
At no time will the DOJ have direct access to the FSC membership list, which will remain under seal.
All FSC members should advise the FSC office of all of their dbas by Monday, June 27, 2005, so that the master list will be as complete as possible.
On behalf of the entire adult entertainment industry, the FSC acknowledges the bravery and integrity of our co-plaintiffs, New Beginnings and Dave Cummings. We trust that the industry appreciates their willingness to take on the fight for justice on behalf of all of us.
The FSC also expresses appreciation to our extraordinary legal team: H. Louis Sirkin, Paul Cambria, Art Schwartz, Jennifer Kingsley, Roger Wilcox, Michael Gross, Barry Covert and Michael Deal. Special acknowledgement also to Michael Murray, whose agreement with the DoJ in the Connections Magazine case in Cleveland, Ohio, laid the groundwork for this agreement.
Over the course of the next few months, there will be continuing proceedings, including discovery, that culminate with the August 8, 2005 preliminary injunction hearing. While we remain optimistic regarding our ultimate success in the litigation, the FSC encourages everyone to try to comply with the law to the extent that it is possible.
GigaCash 2257 Annoucement #1
GigaCash 2257 Announcement #1
GigaCash has always strived to stay a few steps ahead. We're pleased to inform you that by June 23rd our 2257-related efforts will have resulted in an affiliate program that is not only compliant with the new 2257 regulations but one that will also begin to produce significantly greater conversions for our affiliates.
Regardless of the outcome of Free Speech Coalition's injunction efforts, our mission is to protect you (our affiliate) while respecting the privacy of the models. GigaCash has been an official sponsor and supporter of the Free Speech Coalition. For more information visit www.freespeechcoalition.com.
To stay informed of the latest developments regarding 2257 visit xbiz.com.
PREMIUM SITES
Effective June 23 our lineup of Premium sites will have gone through a video-focused "TOTAL MAKE-OVER". This means that GigaCash affiliates will begin to see improved conversions from their existing GigaCash links. Our premium sites will begin to offer gigabytes of downloadable video content to subscribers. Although we plan on having the VAST MAJORITY of our sites completed by June 23, in the event that a site is not 100% ready by June 23 the domain will be redirected to its matching niche (compliant) GigaCash site. And of course we'll point it right back to the original site upon completion (within a few days following June 23). Meanwhile affiliates will receive full credit on all sales.
DISCOUNT (BLOWOUT) SITES
Since our discount sites will not be going through a make-over until after June 23, they will redirect to their corresponding niche Premium sites. For example milfblowout.com will redirect to mombang.com, meanwhile affiliates will earn the higher commission rates on premium site sales ($30-$40). Upon completion of our discount site make-over, they will point back to their original discount site format.
BANNERS & PROMOS
- If an injunction is not granted by June 22 GigaCash affiliates will be required to remove all previous GigaCash banners/promos.
- New compliant banners will be supplied within just a few days following June 23.
- OK to keep text links. Text links are exempt from 2257.
FREE HOSTED GALLERIES & PIC OF THE DAY
Once again, if an injunction is not granted then GigaCash affiliates will be required to replace their existing FHG & POTD links with brand new compliant links, to be announced on June 22 - stay tuned!
OLD DOWNLOADABLE CONTENT
Effective June 17 GigaCash affiliates are required to remove any content previously provided by GigaCash to be hosted on your servers.
AFFILIATE ACCESS TO 2257 DATABASE
GigaCash is currently populating and testing its 2257 database to be completed by June 22. Our cross referenced database will be available to affiliates in the event of an 2257 audit. We ask that you direct all 2257 requests to admin@gigacash.com.
Please stay tuned for a follow up announcement on June 22.
We thank you for your support
Wegcash 2257 annocunment
For anyone who missed it Wegcash sent this out today about 2257.
As promised we are taking all necessary steps to ensure that Wegcash is 2257 compliant by the effective date of the new regulations. We have posted the email below.
I’’m sure that many of you are wondering what OCCash’s plans are to comply with the impending 2257 regulations. Right now, we are in the process of talking to our lawyers to find out how we can best make ourselves and our affiliates compliant with the new regulations. Rest assured, as soon as we know how to most effectively deal with these new regs our webmasters will be the 2nd to know. We will do whatever it takes to make sure our affiliates can make their sites and galleries compliant by the time the changes in the regs take effect.
The new regulations are set to take effect on June 23, 2005. However, The Free Speech Coalition isseeking injunctions on both the East and West Coast. These injunctions are very likely (though not guaranteed) to slow the passage of these (or some components of) laws. In a best case scenario, the courts will uphold the Sundance vs. Reno decision regarding the responsibilities of a secondary producer and there will be no need for webmasters to keep redundant sets of model IDs.
If you are not a member of The Free Speech Coalition (www.freespeechcoalition.com), we highly recommend that you become one. The FSC is our first line of defense against an administration that is hell-bent on destroying the adult online business.
Lastly, do not give into fear mongers that are looking to make a buck from this debacle: there is not an acceptable third party whom can keep your records for you (should they become necessary) and the earliest there regulations could affect you is June 23 — don’t fall victim to the profiteering that is already running rampant on the boards. Even if the injunctions fail, the government still needs to set an agency to enforce these regulations which will delay and inspections even further than June 23rd.
Now is a time for vigilance and not panic. OCCash will do whatever it takes to make sure our webmasters are covered just as soon as we have been given proper legal advice by our attorneys. It is still very early in this game to predict exactly what the future will hold.
If you have any questions about 2257 please contact jay@occash.com and I will be happy to address your concerns.
 Jay
Quality vs Quanity
Sorry for the lack of updates but i just have been playing around with new ways to generate traffic to my blogs and mainly to my unopened paysite. One of the best things i think you can do is once you have developed a niche start a yahoo group with the same niche. Upload some content to it then advertise the group on niche specific boards. Since i am in the ebony niche. I announced the group on UGN forums and BootyParadise. Next i researched for other yahoo groups with the same niche and advertised on there. The goal here is to create a strong following of potential subscribers to the paysite. I haven't advertised my group in a while and it has over 1,000 members. Another friend site with the same niche, is making money in the niche and also has a yahoo group. His membership list is over 5,000.
I'm really for quality over quanity right now. My focus right now is to generate quality traffic to my paysite, so that when i do open, i will have potential customers. Once the site opens, because of the contacts i made in the ebony niche, i can generate large amounts of ebony traffic. It can be argued however, that 2000 hits can be better than 500 hits. I agree. What seperates the two will be explained in my next post.
Until then, I'm off to getting these numbers up!
Webair, Part II
If you read my previous post creatively entitled "Webair, ARRG", you may remember my frsutrating situation with the hebhost Webair. If not, here's a brief overview.
They screwed up my shit.
Now, that you know what's going on let's finish the story.
Well, the next day when i checked everything, Applebottomgirls.net was pointing to the correct ip. The correct IP being my site and not boat dating! I was happy to see my site up. Even though it is up and Webair fixed the problem pretty fast. I'm still upset i had the problem anyway and won't rave about their services. If you do choose Webair be weary. I don't know why but even though i've seen the webpage before the dns resolved it, now seeing it on the internet i think imma make the splash image a little bit smaller. Besides that, i'm pretty happy with it. It serves it's purpose i believe.
Today and all this week basically i'm going to be working on building traffic to my sites so that i can establish a good customer base. I need to make sales when the site finally opens! As far as the date, i'm not sure yet. I was hoping for June 1st, but i think we're running behind schedule. We are 2 weeks behind and my partner will be leaving for 2 weeks and i hope that doens't put us a month behind! Big booty fans are waiting!
PEACE
Webair, ARGG!
What a horrible day. Before i rant on how horrible Webair is let me start from beggining. Let me settle down first.
Okay, yesterday i was researching for a cheap web host. I only needed something small concerning diskpace, because i didn't even expect to use 1 MB! One thing i did want was a pretty decent about of gig transfer, prolly 10. This is because i only needed a splash page, saying welcome until i set up my business account at the bank. Once i set up my business account, i could put my money there, get a dedicated server, and have the money deducted from there. Searching other web hosting, some had annual plans or plans where its bi-annual, plus a setup fee would've taken 50 from my personal bank account! Not happening. Webair was cheap 19 bucks, what i wanted so i ran wit it.
Next morning, i'm waiting for my email with the ftp information so i could get everything started. I checked it, and nothing. So i called. She informed me that i had to send her a copy of my credit card address before they could move along with the process. 1) How come i wasn't notified of these instructions in the first email?2) I'm not sending you a copy of my credit card! I told the broad i wasn't comfortable with the idea of them having a copy of my credit card lying around, I don't know how secure it is over there or who works there. I was seriously considering to cancel everything and just find someplace else, since she informed me this was a new thing for the company. Luckily, later in the afternoon i got an email about the ftp information! Great! Right?Wrong.
I went to my DNS control panel, entered my info. Went back to my ftp info, uploaded my files. I goto the ip address that i uploaded to and why don't i see my index i uploaded?Why is it talking about boat dating? I delete all the html, and just add mine. Still nothing. This isn't even the default webair page they have in the folder, where is this file at?I couldn't find the boat dating html on my ftp folders. I said F it, maybe itll work itself out.
Few Hours later, AppleBottomGirls.net is pointing to my ftp address, but it is still pointing to this unknown boat dating site. What the hell! I am losing traffic! So i'm pissed right?So i call webair tell they better figure out what's wrong or imma catch a body. The guy begs me to calm down and not to hurt him and said he will figure it out. Low and behold its an ip mixup. He said he will fix but it will prolly take 3 business days. Guess what day this is? Friday! So this won't be solved until Wednesday! Fuck outta here!
This better be solved tommorow. DO NOT CHOOSE WEBAIR. DO NOT CHOOSE IT! They will fuck your shit up and set you back days in business, making you lose lots of money.
DAMN!
Hello surfers!
Hello surfers.
